DENTAL AND VISION INSURANCE
Dental and Vision insurance can be acquired as a rider on your existing Medicare plan or is available as a separate policy. This is because it is not covered under original Medicare. If you are looking for Dental and/or Vision Insurance, you have choices. Please request a consultation to find out about your options.
MUST KNOW
-
Some dental plans have a waiting period for certain services – if you need a procedure done in the near future be sure to check the policy for waiting period(s) when selecting a policy
-
Most plans operate with a network – if the plan you are looking at is a HMO you’ll only be able to receive services from an in-network dental or vision provider – if the plan you’re looking at is a PPO you can receive service from an in-network or an out-of-network dental or vision provider
HMO

-
Requires a provider that is in the network
-
Requires a referral from Primary Care Physician to see a specialist
PPO
-
Offer low to moderate copays
-
Can see a provider out of network but will pay less if utilizing an in-network provider
-
Does not require a referral from Primary Care Physician to see a specialist
